Summary |
0000915: Require consistent exit behavior for redirection error with function execution |
Description |
0000882 cleaned up the description of the consequences of errors for TC2-2008, but left some behavior unspecified due to various behaviors in existing shells. Consistent behavior should be required in the next revision of the standard. |
Desired Action |
Change the line:
Redirection error with function execution | may exit(3) | shall not exit | yes
in the table modified on P2337, L74288-74295 in the fix for 0000882 in Note: 0002527 to:
Redirection error with function execution | shall not exit | shall not exit | yes
and delete Note (3) attached to the end of that table.
