Summary | 0000134: Wording problem in description of /dev/null
Description | The description of /dev/null is: "An infinite data source and data sink. Data written to /dev/null shall be discarded. Reads from /dev/null shall always return end-of-file (EOF)." The first sentence is not quite right. If, as the last sentence says (and as occurs in practice), reads from /dev/null always return end-of-file, then /dev/null would more correctly be described as an empty data source, not an infinite one.
Desired Action | Change "An infinite data source and data sink." to "An empty data source and infinite data sink."
