| Summary | 0000152: ENV variable and UP/XSI | ||||||||||||
| Description |
The description of the ENV variable begins: "The processing of the ENV shell variable shall be supported on all XSI-conformant systems or if the system supports the User Portability Utilities option." This text is shaded with margin code UP XSI. The margin code implies an "AND" of UP and XSI whereas the text implies an "OR". It could be fixed by changing the margin code to UP|XSI. However, XSI-conformant systems are required to support UP (as stated in XBD 2.1.4.2). Therefore, logically UP|XSI <=> UP. Also, the shading is missing from the description of ENV on the sh page. |
||||||||||||
| Desired Action |
Change "shall be supported on all XSI-conformant systems or if the system supports the User Portability Utilities option" to "shall be supported if the system supports the User Portability Utilities option" and change the shading from UP XSI to just UP. On page 3165 lines 105257-105263 add UP shading to the ENV description. |
