DescriptionIn bug 0001801 Mohamed Akram requested that the common xargs -P option be added to the standard. Since this cannot be done until Issue 9, in the meantime it can be added to the FUTURE DIRECTIONS section.
Desired ActionAfter page 3606 line 123429 add a new paragraph:
A future version of this standard may add a -P maxprocs option to turn on a "parallel mode" in which xargs executes at most maxprocs invocations of utility concurrently.
