Summary 0000885: Historical references to "base documents"
Description There are various uses, in non-normative text, of the term
"base documents" in historical contexts.

In XRAT C.4.3 and in the RATIONALE for join and unexpand in XCU there
are some uses which originated in POSIX.2-1992, and some that were
introduced in POSIX.1-2001 as a way to refer back to POSIX.2-1992.

In XRAT D.1 there is a use which originated in POSIX.1-1996 (section F.1).

In the frontmatter on page xlvii under "Source Documents" there is a use
which originated in POSIX.1-2001 (and incorrectly now says "for
POSIX.1-2008").

Since the base documents listed in the current standard are not the
same as the base documents listed in each of these historical
standards, the text should be changed to make it clear that it is not
the current standard's base documents that are being referred to.
The suggested changes mostly just add the version of the standard whose
base documents are being referred to, but in some cases the change is
more substantial in order to reinstate the original intended meaning of
the text where it first appeared.
