| Description | The description of basename() includes the sentence "The returned pointer might also be invalidated if the calling thread is terminated", but dirname() does not. Bug 0001064 removed it from dirname(), but didn't do so for basename(). I believe this was accidental, resulting from the relevant paragraph being in different places on the two pages (RETURN VALUE v. DESCRIPTION). | ||||
