Summary | 0001865: ISO editors Issue 8 comment 053
Description | In their comment 053 on Issue 8 the ISO editors requested that the definition of "±0" be removed as it is not a term but a mathematical symbol. The Austin Group's response was that this change would be considered for the next TC.
Desired Action | Delete section 3.428 ±0.

I'd rather change it to "signed zero". ISO editor is really stubborn on formality. |
|
I don't see the need to have a definition of "signed zero". C17 uses that term but does not define it, and therefore it has its dictionary meaning in C17; there is no reason not to do the same in POSIX.1. |
