DescriptionIn their comment 053 on Issue 8 the ISO editors requested that the definition of "±0" be removed as it is not a term but a mathematical symbol. The Austin Group's response was that this change would be considered for the next TC.

I'd rather change it to "signed zero". ISO editor is really stubborn on formality.

I don't see the need to have a definition of "signed zero". C17 uses that term but does not define it, and therefore it has its dictionary meaning in C17; there is no reason not to do the same in POSIX.1.
