| Description |
When looking at an existing bug, the default for the "Assign To:" field is "[Myself]" and the default for the "Change Status To:" field is "New". It would seem to be better to have the default value shown for these fields be the current settings instead of the constants that are in place now. It is also strange that the "Status" field for some bugs has a value that is not selectable under the "Change Status To:" button (e.g., "Under Review"). |

Change the default value for the setting under the "Assign To:" button to be the current value of the "Assigned To" field. Add the full set of possible values for the "Status" field to the list of choices under the "Change Status To:" button. Change the default value for the setting under the "Change Status To:" button to be the current value of the "Status" field. If a person changing a bug doesn't have permission to set some of the possible values, gray out those values (or make them unselectable) if possible. |

Can't really fix this one, everything in the menuing subsystem wants to be "alphabetical". Changing this involves more re-coding of core Mantis than I want to do. I'm hoping a future version of Mantis is going to let me do this. |
